iPhone 14 Pro could start with 256GB of internal storage

It is claimed by many rumors including analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. That the iPhone 14 Pro models will be more expensive when launched than the iPhone 13 Pro models. Kuo did not reveal the exact prices. But said the average selling price of all four iPhone 14 models will increase by about 15% overall.

iPhone 14 Pro Storage Options

Most of the customers will face disappointment due to increased prices. But it is possible that the iPhone 14 series will offer more storage in exchange for the additional cost. Earlier this year, TrendForce (which is a Taiwanese research firm) predicted that the iPhone 14 Pro models could possibly start with 256GB of storage, instead of 128GB which was starting storage for the iPhone 13 Pro models. However, the chart displayed above said storage volumes were still “TBD” at the time, which means we’ll have to wait and see.

Rumors also claimed that there will be various other improvements for the iPhone 14 Pro models which include an A16 chip which is faster than the older chip, a new design for the notch which could be pill-shaped, or a hole to replace the notch, an improved 48-megapixel rear camera lens with support for 8K video recording, the autofocus for the front camera, RAM which will be faster and an always-on display that will show necessary information such as the time, date, widgets as per user choice and the newly added battery percentage on the lock screen.

iPhone 14 Models

If we take reference from history then, in the United States. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max started to sell at $999 and $1,099 having storage of 128GB. With around a 10% price increase, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max could start at $1,099 and $1,199, respectively. Which would be the same prices set earlier for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max having 256GB of storage. However, the exact price increases if there are any left to be seen.

It is expected that Apple will announce the iPhone 14 series in September as per usual. It’s unclear if the standard iPhone 14 models would also see a price increase. They’re still expected to have the A15 chip and lack many of the other upgrades rumored for the Pro models. Some rumors about the price have also claimed that the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 will continue to start at $799.
