Samsung announces Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro, durable on all fronts

The new Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is a rugged model designed to survive in more demanding environments. But at the end of the day, it is a demanding device on all fronts as it also comes with software tricks to protect user data.

The South Koreans claim in Samsung updates 2022 that the tablet will survive drops and, given that it includes military-grade protection, should be able to work in the most extreme conditions.

Active 4 pro resistance on all fronts:

“The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5. We all know that Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is an outperforming chemically strengthened glass in case we talk about damage resistance and scratch protection. It can also withstand drops from a height of 1 m, or with the protective cover included in the package, drops from a height of up to 1.2 m. As an additional layer of protection, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro and its integrated S Pen have IP68 dust and water resistance. And for the harshest environments, the device is MIL-STD-810H5 compliant to withstand extreme altitudes, temperatures, vibrations, and humidity,” Samsung explains in a press release today.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 pro:

The tablet has everything you’d expect from a modern tablet, including up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with microSD support. One of the biggest features, though, is the user-replaceable battery, so if the 7,600mAh unit runs out, you can get more juice with a separate battery.

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is a bit heavier than before, but we’re still in the same situation as the Tab Active Pro 653g. On the plus side, we see a boost in storage and RAM options, and useful features like a programmable button that you can use to launch specific apps will return. While there’s a good-sized battery for on-the-go use, you can even use the tablet plugged into a power outlet without a battery if you’re in a kiosk or workstation and there will be no risk of high operating temperatures or battery damage.

Software protection in Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro:

If we talk about software protection, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is very safe and protected. “Samsung offers Knox Suite in its recent devices which is an all-in-one multipurpose platform that makes it very easy for IT teams to configure, manage, secure and analyze devices. They can easily analyze single devices as well as an entire fleet of devices.

Samsung Knox also protects the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro with its fully integrated hardware and software protection. From the chip up, the platform provides comprehensive real-time protection against the growing threats facing the modern workforce,” explains Samsung. The tablet will go on sale later this year, but Samsung has yet to announce any pricing information.
